IOM Affordability
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine
There’s often a lot of talk about health care costs in politics, where it becomes kind of a wedged political issue. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine put together a consensus study on actual evidence-based policies and practices that can reduce the cost of prescription medication.
There are so many research organizations in DC that produce incredible research. Like all other reports, it’s a big report. Unfortunately, the nature of that medium is that very few people will actually read a 234-page long report.
Our job was to synthesize the recommendations of the report and put it into a short video, to push the conversation and empower advocates to push for their institutions to be better on prescription pricing.
